![]() LOL.. well, I did drive it and of course its much slower than my 88 but I really dont mind at this day and age of my life. I did jam on the gas and it has enough pick up for me. I dont race my cars so.. it will be my daily driver. I got 10 good, fun years out of it so I dont mind settling down with a v-6.
My 88 has been a really good car overall.. I dunno just recently I've been spending too much money. I had the idle air control valve go out, and the other day the airpump/smog pump went out and left me stranded on the middle of a busy road. One of my valve covers I believe is leaking.. the car is just not worth putting thousands of dollars into it. I am not a mechanic and I dont know any men that work on cars, so when my car breaks I have to put it in the shop. That's a lot of money. Both head gaskets I believe are starting to go.. all this stuff adds up. My starter is probly next and the motor and tranny are original. The car runs good and strong though. I just dont know what's going to break next, and I dont want to know lol ![]() Good luck with your Cougar shopping ![]() |
