![]() A stock T5 should live very well behind your car - providing your a good shifter. I doubt you have much more than 330lb-ft at the fly. Make sure your rebuilder takes a good hard look at the gear synchronizing teeth - if they are not in first rate shape, replace the sliders and gears (~$80 each). I rebuilt my 190,000 mile T5 and put $150 kit and $150 in sliders and gears in it. Getting proper input shaft bearing load is critical to trans life too. A T56 would be overkill for your car and a Tremec isn't REALLY needed either - like I said providing your a decent shifter.
