Ok, I could be wrong, but the only two oil pans I can think of for Ford, other then after market 7 Qt and stuff, are the normal front sump oil pans, and the 80's to 90's Fox body rear sump double hump oil pans.
So any early type oil pan for a 302 should work just fine. Maybe he was thinking since parts for those cars are hard to find, that those would be too.
