![]() MSD's for Ford TFI systems are painfully easy to do. They basically go between the stock ignition coil harness and the coil itself. So instead of:
Coil harness -- coil It'll go: Coil harness -- MSD box -- coil I heard something a few months back about a California judge finding Ford at fault for the modules. As many times as people claim they fail, they've never directly contributed to an accident (or so the case said). 95% of the time the TFI modules fail is because of bad plug wires plus no heatsink compound on the back of them. It's that simple. 100k miles is the cutoff? OMG, they stopped using those things how long ago, and now there's almost no vehicles left under 100k with them. Then again, can we b!tch that much? We're talking about a $30 part. ------------------ Capri306, Moderator, The Mustang Works Online 1979 Mercury Capri, 5.0L -- C4 -- 2.73 1987 Mustang LX Notch |
