make sure that the wiring is connected to the release solenoid at the hatch latch. you need to remove the 2 small hatch panels that cover the taillights to see properly. if it is connected, undo the connector at the pop button in glove box & try to jump the wires to see if it releases. if it does, the pop button is bad. let me know, i have an extra & will give it to you. most importantly, the pop button will only work if car is on or in acc position[key forward]. good luck,let me know.
