the trans is something that should be addressed. I know a guy up in ontario on his second trans and a girl in chicago broke hers too.
make them fix it. I think it's all in the fluid, but I'm no master tech. as for your defroster, they will fix it regardless of tint. its a relay thing, not a window thing..
