$1000 doesn't actually sound all that bad, for a Mach 1 given your age. I pay about $800 every six months with Allstate. That is for full coverage on a 98 GT, which doesn't even have close to 305hp.

I'm 27 years old, too. Turning 25 gets you a nice break on your premiums (at least in Pennsylvania), but you may have to gut it out until then.

I have pretty good coverage. You probably already know this, but if you want to try to lower your rates you can find out what the minimum required coverage levels are for your state and get a policy that reflects those minimum levels. Be prepared to absorb any losses beyond that minimum coverage though.

Personally, I don't think your going to do much better than the low quote you already have. Cheap insurance is cheap for a reason. One thing I'll say about Allstate...though they charge out the ***** they do provide pretty good service - and I've been through two stolen cars and one totalled one (not by me). They'll usually start your claim and get you in a rental within a few hours of the report.
