![]() I'm not sure about the injector at Pep Boys but I recently replaced a leaking stock injector with a newer version of the Bosch 19 lb injector and have had no issues. I even passed my emissions test with no problem. This newer 19 lb injector didn't have the pintle either. It has a four hole orifice instead. It probably has a little different spray pattern than the stock 19 injector but that doesn't seem to bother the engine at all. As long as it has the same flow rate it should be OK. I have had this new injector in since the beginning of the summer with no problems.
My buddy's 02GT looks to have the same one. The 4.6L motors seem to still be using the old bosch style injectors.
