Pre 1980 Ford small block, 28.2 OZ.

Post 1980 Ford small block 50 OZ.

* Balance can be changed by engine builder.

The 50 OZ Balancer backside weight will cover about half of the balancer. When its off you'll see.

Either way it will have a part number on it to cross reference. A good indicator is if the motor is stock painted gray, its 50. But that only changed with the 5.0.

Fluid dampers work good. For a motor warmed over a stock damper is fine. Unless that money is burning a hole in your pocket.
