Mine took me 6 hours to do by myself. The cams are real easy to replace. most of the time is spent on changing the valve springs.
Make sure you replace them or the factory springs will coil bind. I have the competition cams in mine and I love them And yes make sure the timing chains are perfect. Good Luck
