Yeah, I think the idea you have about the disconnecting the low pressure hose will work. Just don't let it run dry for more than several seconds. Don't wanna screw up the pump.
Or, I guess you could just get a rubber bulb and pull it out OR stuff a big rag down in there and soak up as much as possible. Then add new fluid run car (while turning steering wheel from side to side) a few minutes and then soak that stuff out and repeat till it's clear enough for ya. ![]()
