Last night when i answered this thread, all my feeble brain saw was stroker crank, stock rods, stock pistons ... the 302 part of the piston equation didn't even register. You had me scratchin my head for an hour last night !!
At least it makes a little sense now .... if you have 351 pistons with stock rods and a 3.85" stroke, the pistons will be sticking out the top of the block, so that should be easy to check. Maybe you have aftermarket pistons and the skirt design is a bit different (longer) ? If thats the case i'm with BilLster, you could probably do some notching with a dremel, then get everything rebalanced ... if the interference is substantial, then i'd find out whats going on before i cut anything.
note to self: Don't try to figure out technical problems late at night liquored up.
