Last night when i answered this thread, all my feeble brain saw was stroker crank, stock rods, stock pistons ... the 302 part of the piston equation didn't even register. I couldn't figure out how the guy was telling you that you could throw in a stroker crank without changing rods or pistons and everything would fit ???? duhhhh
You had me scratchin my head for an hour last night !!
At least it makes a little sense now .... if you have 351 pistons with stock rods and a 3.85" stroke, the pistons will be sticking out the top of the block, so that should be easy to check. Maybe you have aftermarket pistons and the skirt design is a bit different (longer) ? If thats the case i'm with BilLster, you could probably do some notching with a dremel, then get everything rebalanced ... if the interference is substantial, then i'd find out whats going on before i cut anything.
