![]() Rick is a wise man. NEVER race it if something is wrong. What's the point? If it won't rev past 3500 you're not going to win a race anyway. Why take a chance of more damage?
I agree, check your fuel filter. Sounds like you're leaning out under load. Fuel filters are cheap and easy to replace. Might as well do a full tune up (new plugs, cap and rotor, plug wires) if it's been a while.
