Actually they do sell longer ones now, but they are around $90. I have a tremec and a Mcleod safety bell, and you can tell that the pull on the fork by the cable is not exactly perfect, but I have been using the stock one with no problems. I have heard of others doing the same. All the aftermarket one that I saw a picture of really looked like is a stock one cut and lengthened a bit and welded back. If you have a welder, you can do it yourself. I was going to, but since it worked the way it was, I figured why bother.
