![]() Sounds like that sportsman 302 block. Basically a tougher version of the production 5.0. I don't know if it's coming through with 4-bolt mains, but I think the main webs are solid filled versus hollow. and a few more things like that.
Wish I had a freak'n wayback machine! Or better yet a grant to start a foundry. Always thought that a neat little cast iron block based on the 302 would be handy, but with more commonality with the 351 (oil pan, bolts, timing cover, etc). the only real change being the deck height and conrod length. Then again I guess you could always just prodcude a 351 and destroke it! Naw forget that, the 302 is a dern tiddy package unless you want more that 360 cubes (with a siamesed bore engine) Oh well maybe one day I'll have controling interst in the World Prodcuts foundry ![]() |
