The production 5 litre block was rated for 550 hp. Although a few people have indicated they have exceeded this amount with no problems? DSS claims 600 hp with a main girdle. But I don't think its a problem retaining the crank in the mains. It's the hollow main webs and their inability to really take a pounding (especially when your really spike the loads via nitrous
