Default 99 Cobra Vs 01 Supercharged Bullitt + Video

Ran my buddies new Novi 1000 Powered BULLITT. I have just a dense charger, little bit of weight loss and solid rear.

Heres the video...

http://www.ojaipcpros.com/bullittvscobra.wmv

I lost by bout half a car, but neither one was pulling.

I think the bullitt is down on power.

I definitely didn't expect the Cobra to hang like that. Does the guy have any track times for his Bullit with the blower?

Hey skyler, nice to see your still at it! Good video bubba. Is that Justin in the passenger seat? You look like you grew up in the last couple years since we used to hang out in Camarillo. I'll have to post up some footage of me and the new car. How you been? And yes, i think that Bulitt needs some tuning, he should of walked you up top.

Nice run. You hung in there pretty good. Always nice to hang with a car with a power adder.

Did you let off there at the end or did he just take off? To tell you the truth.. my 89 was a tuning nightmare but it always came alive at the end of 2nd and into 3rd(331 w/a-trim). I raced a WS6 and we were side by side until the beginning of 3rd then I left it like they hit the brakes. Same thing happened against a porshe turbo. I'm sure it needs tuning but the truth is.. he'd be luck to get to 350hp with that sohc. I'm willing to bet your new combo will kill him.

On another note, I raced my friends conv. trans am(LS1) with the 97 cobra vert I had. I had him by half a car to 70 then he walked away like I hit the brakes.

Its my experience that the first two gears is all about gears, traction and driver once third gets hit its all power. I have had H/C cars stick with me thru second on the street but then I grab third and destroy them.

Yep, I think you're right. I've also noticed a 99+ 4.6 mustangs will beat most ls1 in the 1/8(light to light). I think it has everything in the world to do with the gearing and powerband... after the 1/8th its over, cubic inches and adders take over.

Looks like you just lost out of the hole and hung in there.
