Just need the right parts. Any power adders later???? This will also have an effect on N/A power. Cam it for spray/boost and it will be a dog. Cam it for N/A and will not really rerspond to any power adder later to good. How much you want to spend???$$$ Bassani, Kook headers are just a few. (Long tubes is a must.) 2.5-3 inch exhust with an X-pipe and good flowing mufflers. EFI or carb. Efi will require the intake manifold to flow 15% more then the intake runner on the heads. Heads need to flow in the 270 @ the lift of cam you choose, and have an intake runner size approx. in the 170-185 cc range. Exhust needs to flow about 77% of the intake. Can be achieved by playing with the duration. 70-75 mm throttle body and VERY IMPORTANT...state of tune of engine! With all this info you can now look for heads and intake that fit this criteria. As goes for cam, I assume you still want a HYD. roller. As goes for the compression..the more you have the easier it will be to make that power you want. Should be able to get what you want with the compression in the 10.25 to 1 area. Cam... if off the shelf you want...a comp cam extreme energy would work. The 274 grind could do it. And so on..I could keep going but, my fingers are starting to hurt. ![]() |
