Can I use my 351w alternator
I believe so. Just change pulleys. I don't know what kind of alternator you have. The easiest thing (to me) would be to put on the alternator bracket off of a 5.0 Then, you can bolt up the smog pump and it will be inline. Especially if the alternator you have is the same size as the stock 5.0 or a 3g alt. Do you have A/C? If you do, then you will have to get a different bracket that bolts to the water pump and power steering pump. The stock 5.0 bracket will not bolt up. To sum it all up, everything except for the aforemetioned bracket will bolt up to the 351w and you can use the serpentine belt.
