![]() The same rules apply to 4.6's as 3.8L's. If you go up to 9lbs on the street you will probably be fine, i'd personally opt for a roots style supercharger (eaton), so a kit from Kenne Bell (i believe they make kits for 3.8's but i'm not sure) would be ideal since they make boost instantly off idle, but still a vortech is always a good choice and probably the most popular for V6's. The 3.8's have always had head sealing issues, but i believe in the late 90's they reduce the size of the coolant passages around the cylinders for a more rigid block (what they did in the super coupe 3.8's) and so it's less likely you'll blow a head gasket.
