Oh yea,....get rid of that spacer. It's for more bottom end grunt. It hurts your top end. Your GT-40 intake don't like to go past the 5800-6000 rpm range as it is.
If you could,.. swap out for another intake set-up. Will make more power with an Edelbrock RPM II or a Twisted Wedge intake, Holley Sytem Max intake, etc, etc, etc.
May-be I missed it, but is this a 5-speed car and how much does it weigh?
If not, what auto trans does it have and what rated stall speed and size?
