I have been running the stock temp gauge. Today I installed a mech gauge. I but I have not gotten the car to start.

I replaced the starter and the solenoid just clicked, so I went and bought a solenoid and still nothing. I put a volt meter to the battery and it reads .03 volts so I got my friend to jump it off and it melted his jumper cables. I went and bought a new battery and put it the new battery in and it still won't start. Someone help me please. This is my only car.
