have heard nothing but good things about the pro 5.0. i have a steeda tri-ax in my 90 GT, which is a very similiar shifter. i recommend the tri-ax as well, i love it. the spring in it automatically finds 3rd gear, which is great. the only downside is you can hear the tranny a little since the tri-ax does not use any sound dampining rubber like the stock shifter does, but thats why the stock shifter is sloppy. the short throws greatly outweighs the little bit of tranny noise IMO
