![]() Yeah I used to have the same problem, went through 2 cables in a month. But I have the solutiion for you.
Buy some header wrap, and wrap the pipes on the driver side, only need to wrap the pipes that come into contact with the cable. Then I took some aircraft grade fire sleeve and put that over the cable. And voila, no more melted cables. Works perfect and only cost me 40 bucks CDN, got the fire sleeve for free since I used to work at a place the built air planes.
