I would imagine that would be a very unusual thing to see. The strut tower is somewhat protected from road salt and debris by the inner fender, and it's not lightweight metal, either. Has your car ever been wrecked or in an engine fire?

I've owned a lot of Mustang's, and I've never seen it.
