Temp gauge reads with lights on

Im wondering how the gauge reads under th following conditions?

1.) engine is runnig, with the lights off
2.) engine is not running, with the lights off
3.) engine is running, with the lights on
4.) engine is not running, with the lights on

temp gauge is fine under all condition except when lights on key off

so if it works with the key on, i would not worry about it
