![]() I believe the Y-harness has been outlawed by both NHRA and IHRA. They want individual shoulder straps, even though they can bolt to the same point on your cage. Wrap-arounds aren't legal in drag racing because they can slide on the shoulder bar. I've always used the duck-bill latches, only because they're cheaper than the quick-release latches. Your belts have to be re-certified or replaced every two years. That's what sucks. I've got a perfectly good set of Stroud belts at home sitting in a box only because the tag reads out-of-date.
Also, look at an NHRA or IHRA rule book. It'll show you the proper way to mount the belts so that tech doesn't give you fits.
