You need to find out what year the other engine is... 302s started in 1968.

Make sure the bellhousings are the same, I forget which year they swapped them to a 6 bolt...

The balancer and crank pulley will probably be different as Ford went to a 4 bolt hook up from a 3 bolt...

The blocks are generally the same... I think that the bore and stroke are both a bit bigger on the 302...
