before i put my new motor in i had my car up to 65 in first, not saying it was good for the car but it can be done. going from D to 1st is making your car shift into second.
"1" controls first gear and second gear and the "D" gear controls second gear and third gear, and OD controls just fourth gear in the AOD. what dinomite said before is the proper way to shift the auto when u are racing and such. ------------------ 89 GT AOD w/ shift kit, B&M rachet shifter, Trickflow intake, Crane (E-type) cam, 70Tb, 75MAF, 1.6 Rockers, Pulleys, MAC headers and H-pipe, Dynomax mufflers, K&N, 3 core radiator, white face gauges, custom interior, cobra R rims MY89GT |
