Check your fusible links and all grounds. After that, check to see if power is even reaching the items effected: brake light switch, brake lights, dash lights, etc. Lack of ground connection is the usual culprit, however. If you can't find the problem, I'd suggest asking around for shops that do electrical work exclusively. Try asking knowledgable people at auto parts retailers. They usually at least have commercial accounts that specialize in areas like these.
