![]() ols0051 just Curious, did a machine shop do the block for you? Or did you do it your self? I have an extra block and was thinking about trying to rebuild it my self.

![]() I guess the rings are metric.1.5mm,1.5mm and 4mm? surfsup. I got the shortblock used with 80k mi on it. We took it apart, cleaned it, and run a rabbit turd hone thru it. Got all these fancy measuring tools from a friend, all checked out perfect. It's fun because it's the first one for me, but without experienced help I would have just bought one from a place like DSS.

![]() Rabbit turd hone? LMAO Make sure you clean that stuff outta there!
I'm running Total Seal rings, haven't found better ones out there. If you're planning on running N2O alot, leave a little extra end gap. The nitrous heat expands the rings, and there goes your end gap! ![]()

![]() I called summit and they say they are metric. But still waiting for them as they are on back order. They are not file fit. I wanted file fit rings because the plan is to use nitrous. But I also wasn't going to spray it until it was running perfectly. And as the summers seem to just fly bye it could be next year for that as slow as this thing is coming together. And next winter I was going to buy a new crank, rods, and pistons. What is the difference between file fit and non file fit? The non files just are made a spec right? or wrong? If I decide to open the gap up a bit I can right?
