Did you select any thread subscription options for each thread you want before you hit submit? You can choose "No e-mail notification" on each one and it will only show up in your user cp.
It won't work using the quick reply box, you have to hit reply or quote on every thread and scroll down for the "additional options" area before you submit your post.
