Better off safe than sorry, in my experience. I'd go with all new fasteners, and call it a cheap insurance plan. Also, was the rod itself the cause of the failure? Is the crank going to be reground and checked (I think it's going to be necessary after wiping damage like that)? Just questions on my mind. That REALLY sucks that it only lasted 5000 miles, dude. Hopefully it'll go right this time. Good luck.
