Please help - Long. Car troubles.

The filter will/can cause the pump to go bad if it is clogged. The pump pushing against the restriction of the clogged filter, overheats the pump and burns it out.

Do yourself a favor and change the filter too.

Well,

I installed a new pump and filter. It's been 2 days and all seems well. Thanks for the help.
