The styling bar really transformed my car. It gives it a look that other convertibles don't have, really makes it stand out. I would go ahead and do both, it can't cost a lot to have your front bumper repainted. Before you do, get something like Meguires Scratch off and see how much you can rub off, you may be surprised. Then follow up with some really slick wax to keep them from sticking. I recommend Zaino, there is nothing like it, and you want to win shows, you should see a black car with Zaino on it. I judged yesterday at the Bullitt/Mach 1 Shootout, I could tell you the Zaino cars from the other ones.
