Looks like the recall did end for you "7 years from the warranty date"...

The intake is not hard to replace yourself, check Ebay for a relpacement $199.00 or less...

The warranty does not expire for a pre-existing condition that was found while the car was still under warranty, which is why it's always a really good idea to have the car fully inspected just before the warranty expires.

Contact your local BBB. The law is on your side.
