Are they monitoring MAF, boost and injector duty cycles? We are averaging (tuning) about 2 Lightnings per week (some) using the SCT BA2400 and the SCT software. With a set up very similar to yours we were seeing 400-450 on a Mustang Dyno (loaded for the actual vehicle weight).

Our average tuning time is approx. 90 minutes. Whose chip are you using?

ahh, No, No and no again. Thats why i need a better tuner. Up to 401 HP but pig rich and down on torque. I heard Ed Clarke i raleigh NC was a good tuner. That and the pro racer software should get me going. Ohh and a Kenny bell

Its pretty tricky to do a tune well, unless you know what all the components are doing. Once you establish everything is good, MAF isn't peaking, injectors are up to the requirements etc then hit the dyno and tune. On the Lightnings we discovered that the fuel pumps max at about 450 at the tire. Companies like SCT also HIGHLY recommend you have a bung installed or using one of the existing sensors to monitor AFR, rather then using a "tail pipe" sniffer. We have seen them be off be .5 to a full point. They also suggest that the best option is to do the tuning on a load bearing dyno, so it simulates actual vehicle weight on the road.
On our website we have some "staff blogs" on some of the vehicles we have done, with some amazing results.

Last FYI...never race a Lightning with a 1/4 tank or less. The shape of the tank, on launch, uncovers the pick ups and they go lean.
