Jack stand safety question

I usually like to put mine where the a-arms connect to the k-member. Or if that is in the way, I will put them at the very front of the "frame rails"

It's not a stupid question if it keeps a stang from possibly falling and getting blood on the paint

Exactly! That where I put mine for "normal" stuff. When it comes to clutch, and BIG stuff, I get out my big jackstands (taller, stronger) and go right for the subframes up front.
