If all you want is the show, screw the hill. Put 7.50 gears in her, and hold on!

Put on a show???? I hope you dont think you will pop a wheelie like andy. You will probably only get about 2-6 inch of daylight under the tires tops. The best way to pull the wheels is with some real good sticky slicks and nitrous right off the line. Even then it wont be enough of a lift to put on a show. Andy launches his car at 8000 rpms and has 500HP. It takes big money to get where he is at.

To put it in perspective for you. I have every thing imaginable bolted on my car. I cant even think of anything alse to buy.

I have the a/c, power steering, smog pump, front sway bar removed and aluminum heads wich weigh about 50 lbs less than the stockers.

I put 4 banger springs in the front. Upper and lower control arms , sub frame connectors and an air bag in the passenger side right spring, 3.73 gears and hoosier slicks. My car puts 300HP to the wheels and I launch it at 5000rpms. I pull mid 1.6 60ft's and still do not lift the wheels. not even one wheel.

Cool Re: Lifting the front wheels..

DARK!, calm down. As you say I, I, I. Well that is you. I (me) can pull the tires (2) with just a 1.78 60ft. I can really get some light with a 1.54. The new set up is so close, can't wait to see the air now. Each set up is differant, even though we are all close to the same. Lets just encourage him and wait to see what time brings.

LOl., I guess I have wheelie envy. I never understood why my car never pulled the wheels. I havent launched it since the 4 banger front springs so who knows.

You need drag suspension to get the wheels up. Slicks & horsepower aren't enough. I'm in the same boat. I'd love to pull the left front wheel...but I don't know if I'm ready to sacrifice the ride quality on the street and go for full on drag suspension. Launching on nitrous, at 5,000rpms...I've turned a 1.58 60'. I haven't pulled a wheelie...but the left front tire was pretty close to seeing air under it. My Eibach lowering springs are killing me.

Decisions...decisions...
