Dude, the AOD tranny has crappy first and second gears. FFRP makes a kit for you. It's called a wide ratio upgrade kit (part number M-7398-D). It includes enhanced hardware, bands, clutches, as well as lower first and second gear ratios (2.84:1 and 1.55:1, as opposed to 2.4o and 1.47).
