Check out the wires at the GEM (Generic Electronic Module) is located above the driver kick panel. You are looking for yel/black (L), gray/red (R) 20Pin plug, pin 13 & 5 at GEM.

These wires should only show a short to gnd when the door is open. If they are showing a short to ground with the door closed then you can check your pin switch.

Now since I don't know your abilities I will ask a simple question. Do you know how to use a DMM (DigitalMultiMeter)? If so this will be simple for you to figure out. If not I would recomend you go visit someone that knows how.
