i put some 28/10 hoosiers in the back and they fit.. just make sure your car isnt lowered from the back. i barely bought some M/T 26/10. they fit perfect and my car is lowered!!

i have a 87 5.0 gt with mac shorty headers, off-road h-pipe, mac mufflers, transgo shift kit, msd blaster coil, and 3.73 gears. o yeah aod tranny.
