Last year I ran 8.5 in the 1/8 mile at 82mph and my 1/4 mile time was 13.36/104mph. My converter was too small and not allowing me to launch hard enough so my 60' times were in the 1.9 range.
Your 8.44 calculates to a 13.10/107mph on this websites calculator.
I would say if you can hook well with a decent 60' time you should be good for high 12's
