Sounds like you had a leak between the lower intake and the head.

Silicone the intake gasket in place on the head and let it dry then place the lower intake on and follow the proper torque sequence and torque.

Thanks for the response, that's what I was beginning to think because I didn't see anything wrong with the head gaskets when I pulled them up. It's only be around 4000 miles since I installed new head gaskets about 6 months ago.

So you suggest that I let the lower intake gasket sit overnight before I before I place the lower intake onto the heads?

also, would that cause my radiator to leak from the cap?

Nope! But a head gasket would. Sounds to me like a head gasket, even though you couldn't "see" it.

As far as the milkshake under the valve cover, check your PCV valve, could have a bit to do with the head gasket as well.
