![]() I run 4-cyl springs on all four corners. I've cut about 1 full coil off the fronts and 3/4 coil off the rear to try and put the car 'in the weeds' for better reaction at launch. They will lower the car quite a bit. I've actually got to lift my car from the wheel wells and then slip my floor jack under the k-member before it settles back down! The tops of my 26x4.5 E/T Fronts are actually up in the wheel wells...and that with a car that weighs 2960# with me in it! The car is 60' down in the low 1.5's though with the AOD off the transbrake so I'd say the suspension is working pretty well. I'd still like to take about another 1/2 coil off the rears though.
BTW: I bought brand new TRW springs for only about $40 a set from my local parts store where the local scrap yards wanted about $30 a set...and I would have had to pull them. ------------------ Jeff Chambers Trophy Stock #3 11.462 Seconds / 117.43 MPH Chambers Racing Team |
