The short answer is yes. If you really want to hang corners go to a 17". I've seen Pony's go for as high as $400... and much lower. Buy a tire with a thick sidewall (check the specs on tirerack.com) and not too tall.
PS: We've got the same join date- do we qualify as "Elders" yet? A gold watch would be nice.
