I know this might sound funny, but you probably live in a moist climate right? If you do it might be something as simple as a distributer cap. I had a Jeep Comanche that would never start in the rain or in the mornings and evenings when it was damp out from the dew. A mechanic told me to replace my cap and swore it would fix it and sure enough it did. I thought that was kinda weird, maybe it isn't?

I'd try the simple tuneup stuff like a fuel filter, cap, rotor, plugs, etc and see if that doesn't help. Also check all the electrical connections on your car, especially the 10 pin connectors behind the intake. I'm not sure if that'll help, but it's all easy and cheap enough to try.
