Default Re: Need help beefing up a staight six

When i first got my mustang it had a 250 inline six, which was a pretty fun motor. That one went through alot of oil though, so i replaced that with another 250 inline six. Mine was pretty strong, did burnouts pretty easily and i hit around 100-110 mph with it. (though who really knows with the old speedos, lol) I now have a v8 though, which is alot faster than the six, though still only seems to hit about 110mph.....(probably that 3spd, haha) If you wanted to keep a six you could find a 300 inline, which i hear are torquey engines. Sounds like some tuning would help you out, since i would think you should be able to go faster than 80.....
