I am no wiring whiz, actually I have caught almost every car I own on fire. With that said, I will give my 2 cents. I ran a certain gauge wire to my electric fan, to make sure it could handle the draw and not get to hot and possibly burn up on me. Now if I read your post right, you wired the fuel pump using the fan’s hot wire? I would think it needs it own lead dedicated to just the pump.

I think you have probably just found your lost MPH.

No short cuts.. run it again....and come back and tell us how she did!
