![]() REV, you're right I chalk those 60' and 330' times up to my gears and converter. It's also on the ragged edge on streetability as you already suspected.
I need to find out what I need to make this "loose" converter work with what I have for now. I know the simple answer would be new heads and cam but they're not in the cards right now. I'm hoping maybe a few jet changes and timing adjustments will get my top end power back.(I've seen it happen before) I was thinking if I put a 2inch spacer under the carb, it would fool the engine into thinking it had a high intake manifold and help me make more top end power. My jets now are 72/80. Maybe the primarys can go up one or two...

![]() Congrats man! Carb spacer will help you out, like we already talked about. Just make sure you get the right one for the top end.
Does the car feel like it's nosing over, or running out of steam? Or it's still pulling hard, and the number just isn't there?

![]() Here is my set up and the best the I've gone is 1.65 60ft 7.97@84 1/8 12.61@105 1/4. That was good weather. In the heat 12.76-12.80. The best MPH in the 1/8 and 1/4 has been 85-106. On a 175 shot the best is 1.54 60ft 7.16@96 1/8 11.33@116 1/4. It's a 69 351W bored .030 with 69 351 heads (untouched). It has Speed Pro Flat top piston. It has 9:5:1 compression. It also has a hydraulic flat tapped Crane cams duration @050 216in 228ex. valve lift .484in .512ex, 1.6 Scorpion roller rockers, MSD distributor. Moroso spark plug wires. Edelbrock RPM air gap intake (untouched) with Holley 750 Double Pumper. I'm running a TCI 2800 stall with a C6 trans and 3.73 gears.
